Mairi has expertise in extended schools and has devised and implemented action programmes to meet the challenges set in the every child matters agenda. Through a range of innovative projects Mairi can support schools to implement successful curriculum enrichment and study support initiatives. Mairi can also support schools and voluntary groups source funding and write bids. For over 16 years, Mairi has worked in the field of community education based in schools set in challenging circumstances, her role has been to provide a frontline service promoting community cohesion and multi agency partnership working. Although her background is primary education, she has taught in a range of settings both in the UK and overseas.

Current projects include: Setting up a state of the art sports development in partnership with the Football Foundation, Devising a KS2 education package linking museum to school in partnership with the MLA and promoting community cohesion and tackling traffic accidents in partnership with the LA Safety
