Peter Clarke has been a mathematics coordinator and deputy headteacher in primary schools in Australia and London and has worked as a mathematics advisor for Barking and Dagenham LEA on the ‘Improving Primary Mathematics’ initiative. Peter currently works as a primary mathematics education consultant running courses throughout the UK and in Europe. He is also a guest PGCE, GTP and MA course lecturer and works on the ‘Ocean Mathematics Project’, a parent-school initiative. Peter has written material for the National Numeracy Strategy, QCA, Scholastic, Nelson Thornes and Pearson. He has written over 100 publications and currently writes extensively for Collins Education, Cambridge University Press, Harcourt Education and BEAM Education. He is also series editor of a major UK primary mathematics scheme.
