Description of services:

I have been a Headteacher for twenty+ years, these last ten in an Outstanding [OFSTED 2006] and highly successful 475 pupil multicultural primary school with nursery in Slough. I am in my second headship following ten years in a 250 place primary school in quite challenging circumstances.
My present school, in conjunction with Creative Partnerships, is recognised as innovative in its approach to the curriculum and in terms of its pupil outcomes, attainments and CVA. We are the lead school in a Primary Learning Network considering the development of Thinking Skills and Problem Solving in Numeracy, leading edge in ICT [a SLICT host school] and defined as category one by the LA ie maintaining high standards and trends, self evaluating and successful.
At the request of the primary strategy manager I took on the role of PSCL with two schools, one of which has moved from category 3 to 2 after one year. I took on my second school during academic year 05/ 06. It has been removed from serious weaknesses by OFSTED Jan 07.
As headteacher, in conjunction with the school's leadership team, I have lead the development of managed change to the school s curriculum over the past three years in the spirit of Excellence and Enjoyment.

In my work with headteachers over the years, I attempt not to hold preconceived notion of success. I believe that every school has its own unique pressures, challenges and opportunities. I see my role as clarifying the various pressures on the school, identifying where we can make immediate gains and plan for the longer term. I have utilised the skills of school colleagues to support the link schools on many of the issues which are commonly underdeveloped such the data handling, assessment analysis and pupil tracking.

As a School Improvement Partner I work to ensure that I was aware of the human condition, concerned for all within the school and work with key members to ensure that learners had their appropriate entitlement, support and success.
